Company History

Dan Nesovic began his Kitchen and Bath Remodeling service to the San Diego community in 1977 under the fictitious business name of Baywood Kitchens, Inc. A California corporation for which he was the sole stock holder, license holder, and chief operating officer. Baywood Kitchens grew quickly to 34 employees, two showrooms, one in La Mesa and one in La Jolla, and a cabinet shop and warehouse in La Mesa. After over 10 years in business, weathering a major recession, and compiling an extremely large and loyal client base, Dan decided it was in his and his clients best long term interests to simplify his operating structure and eliminate over 90% of his overhead. This would allow him to focus on his loyal clients that were a source of repeat business and referrals, reduce his operating costs to keep his costs and prices below others offering comparable services, and spend his own professional time fully on taking care of his clients needs, rather than managing multiple layers of employees. On a personal level it allowed Dan the time to spend with his two young sons, Alex and Robby, coaching them in club baseball and basketball.

In the late 1980's Baywood Kitchens, Inc. was dissolved, showrooms closed, and Dan changed his license to a sole proprietor working under his own name Danilo Nesovic, Designer and Builder. The change has been a huge success for Dan professionally and personally. Under this structure he has not had a need to advertise his services since 1986, with all his work coming from repeat business and referrals from happy clients.

Though this web site, launched in March of 2010, can be considered a form of advertising, it's main purpose is as a kitchen and bath remodeling reference tool for his clients to pick and choose materials, styles, and explore concepts and ideas which may be of use in their own projects. It is also, hoped it will be used as a kitchen and bath design reference tool for any other individuals contemplating kitchen or bath remodeling.

Knowledge is power. With greater knowledge we can empower ourselves to make greater decisions for ourselves and those around us. Dan sincerely hopes the knowledge within this site empower all who visit.

New Innovations - LED lighting
Be careful, there are a lot of LED lights flooding the market at this time, and 90% of them just do not put out enough light. They are nothing more than high priced night lights.

In 2008 we found a new LED light system that really works, manufactured by Cree Lighting. We have been using this as the primary light source in all our work ever since. Our clients love the light these LED put out and their lower energy bills. These fixtures put out the same amount of light as a 65 watt halogen bulb but themselves consume less than 11 watts of power. We have since found a few more brands that work equally well that will allow us to retrofit any of our older projects with this energy efficient light source.

The LED market is changing daily, so call us with any questions before you make a purchase.

Contact us if you are interested in saving $$ on your electric bills and getting your lighting changed to LED.

Help from our clients

Our biggest regret over the last 33 years is not being diligent in taking photos of all our kitchen and bath remodeling projects. I want to apologize to any past clients whose worthy projects are not shown on this site. We would like your help in letting us know that you still live in your home and the project is still worthy of taking photos. With over 1000 kitchen and bath remodeling projects completed it is not practical for us to attempt to contact all of you. So please help us out and contact us. We would love to hear from you. Our greatest need is to to fill out our kitchen and bath photo gallery with photos from 1990 to present.
